LED Polymer Technology

The Polymer Technology LED wants to attract a very broad audience. Not only polymer manufacturers and/or polymer processors can call upon us; users of polymer components can also count on our expertise. In short, everyone who comes in contact with plastic components on the shop floor.

The possibilities of our LED are situated within a wide range of applications:

1. simulation of polymer processing processes: Injection moulding (Moldflow), Extrusion (Virtual Extrusion Laboratory), Thermoforming (T-sim)

2. behavioural simulations of polymer and composite components: thermal phenomena, strength and structure calculations by means of INX software + Nastran solver
3. material characterisation based on various measurements in the lab
4. mapping an installation’s energy consumption by means of an energetic study
5. research into recycling and reprocessing possibilities of polymers.
