LED Networks in Vehicles
- Repair and diagnosis workshops: the technicians who take care of the repairs and diagnosis are usually trained in mechanics or electricity. However, the extensive and fast application of electronics and network technology requires an entirely new approach. The Networks in Vehicles LED can provide a solution in this context
- Construction companies (conversion and/or full construction): numerous West Flemish SMEs are active in construction in the truck and agricultural sector. In both sectors, thorough knowledge of vehicle networks is increasingly becoming a necessity, e.g. for the configuration of superstructure systems (cranes, fire engines…) or within the scope of the latest evolution of ‘precision agriculture’.
- IT companies developing logistic services for vehicles: vehicle fleet managers are currently also interested in driving style, brake behaviour, consumption etc. The parameters that allow analysis of these aspects are available on the CAN networks. The Networks in Vehicles LED studies these parameters and puts the knowledge gained at the disposal of companies that develop and intend to market advanced FMSs (Fleet Management Systems).
- Schools and training centres teaching automotive engineering: vehicle maintenance and repair companies require technicians who understand the operation of networks in vehicles and can conduct an efficient diagnosis. The Networks in Vehicles LED therefore develops, among other things, a didactic tool and low-cost software visualising the CAN bus signals.
