LED Food

The Food LED provides advice on:

  • recipe development
  • microbiology of food and water
  • organoleptic tests
  • shelf life tests
  • texture determination
  • legislation on goods
  • labelling: allergens, GMO,…
  • hygiene and  food safety by means of education and training
  • implementation of food safety systems (HACCP)
  • coaching the implementation of quality systems such as BRC, IFS, motor vehicle inspection guides... 
  • preparation of an action plan after a company visit or audit, both of customers and of the FASFC.
  • identifying problem causing micro-organisms in the production environment and processes, using DNA-technology

A whole range of tailored services is developed on the basis of specific requirements of companies or organizations. This may range from advice, referencing, training and concrete problem solving to the organization of theses and projects with students.
