West Flanders is the food region par excellence. Over the last few years, food production and distribution have experienced strong internationalisation and intensification. This results in innovative foods and advanced production techniques. In addition, consumers and interest groups are increasingly worried about what people eat and drink. This means that companies have to implement systems to have full control of the safety of the food products.

This is not always easy for small companies and the non-profit sector.
The Food LED, affiliated with the HIVB Campus of KATHO in Roeselare, wants to support small enterprises and non-profit organizations in this field by means of advice.
